CNG Gas does not contain carbon, so the CNG kit does not require any kind of service. You just have to visit an approved retro-fitment center for installation of the CNG conventional kit.
Why is there a need to visit the service center after installation?
- Leakage Issue of CNG Gas
- Pickup Issue after Installation CNG Kit
- Converting Issue from petrol to CNG
- Damage CNG Component
Leakage
Yes, you need to visit your nearest retro-fitment center If you feel that CNG gas is leaking.
How to find leakage?
Smell:- You can easily detect the leakage of CNG gas by its smell. No doubt, CNG (compressed natural gas) is an odorless gas. But as per law, an odorless product can’t be used as fuel. So a chemical called methyl mercaptan (thiols) is added to it to give it a mild odor. You will smell gas in your vehicle and will know that gas is leaking.
Mileage:- In case of CNG gas leakage, the mileage of your vehicle will automatically decrease from the normal CNG mileage.
Pickup Issue
You need to visit your nearest retro-fitment center in the case of low pickup from the normal pickup of vehicle, after the installation of CNG.
Petrol to CNG Convert Issue
If your vehicle is not converting from petrol to CNG automatically. You will have to visit a retro-fitment center to check the fault.
Component Damage
Yes, this is normal for any vehicle or product, don’t think too much about it. This process is not new, it is the same as you go to a mechanic to repair your vehicle. There difference is only that in the case of CNG kit component damage you will go to the CNG retro-fitment center.
